First thing I have to mention is that this is not the first Aerogogo product I own and use. I have two Giga Tiny pumps that I use regularly to inflate my individual air mattresses and which work flawlessly and an older Giga 5.0 pump I used before buying the other two, that also worked flawlessly (except for some button quirks,it sometimes requires fiddling with the buttons a few times before starting to work) for the last three years or so inflating my mattresses and also lighting my camping area afterwards.
Also got two mention, the 5.0 survived a near-death experience. I got caught in a thunderstorm at night while camping and the 5.0 was outside set as lamp, and in the commotion I forgot all about it. It poured heavy rain on it all night (it was lit) and ofc in the morning it was not functioning anymore and was full of water that you could see in the light led area, and you could also hear it flowing in the case. I did a full drying on it (kept it to dry for 2 weeks outside, in a well vented area) and to my surprise it charged and started working back as good as before.
So I was really having high hopes with the Zetta 138. I own a normal 10.6 ft SUP with low pressure requirements (12 to 15 psi). I bought the device last year to replace the hassle of the hand pump, but unfortunately it arrived too late to be able to use it (my fault, should have ordered earlier).
Still, I charged it per manual requirements and also did the 3 months regular charge cycling duty that is also mentioned in the manual.
This year I took it with me to inflate the SUP with high hopes it would save me the effort of pumping, especially in a very hot day at 38 degrees Celsius.
I have to confess I did not do a full charge before taking it but it was lighting green when I started inflating the SUP which should have meant it had over 70% battery left.
I disagree with the fact that it takes forever to inflate the SUP, inflation went from 0 to normal shape in under 10 mins, which is basically nothing, I am not in a hurry when I inflate a SUP, especially in high sun on a very hot day, pumping by hand takes at least the same amount of time, and it's way harder.
However, when it started to pump through to usage pressure I started noticing the battery went to red when it was around 6 psi and at 10 it went completely dead, which is kind of worrysome for a pump that you want to take with you in the wild to inflate the SUP maybe once or twice. Anyway, luckily I had the car nearby so I went and powered it from the car lighter which worked and fully inflated the SUP to 13 PSI.
After finishing the day I put the pump on the Ecoflow power station for a full charge from 0, and it took around 5 hours with an 18W current draw from the power station for a full charge (green led stable) which is kind of in line with a 12.000mAh battery (3x4000 as stated by the manufacturer).
Will have to deflate the SUP and try again to check if fullly charged it can do the job properly.
Still, kind of worrysome that it went from green (so at least 70%) to 0 without being able to inflate a normal SUP to 13 psi, which means that I would possibly need to carry a small power station like the Anker 300X DC with me to where I have to inflate the SUP to insure that it will do the job completely.
